About Me
Career
My acoustic guitar was broken and I had no money to fix it.
That’s how my design career started out. It was around 10 years ago. I was studying literature at college in Brazil. I was really into partying. And by partying I mean borrowing a big stack of books from the library and learning something new. My subject of choice this time was HTML&CSS. It was tricky considering I had no internet at home, but I would manage with the campus lab. Eventually, I learned about design and after that UX and It was just so fascinating how these methodologies could be used to create anything. The possibilities were endless! So when I met a luthier that needed a website really badly I offered to design one in exchange for fixing my guitar. So I did just that! And it felt amazing to see how something I created helped a small business thrive and helped other musicians find out how to fix their instruments as well. And up to today that is still my favorite thing about design: the potential for creating a positive impact. With curiosity, open mind, creativity and a big stack of post-its design can solve just about anything!
Since then I had the opportunity to:
- Create my own company and see that positive impact spread to more than 100 different projects.
- Design websites, mobile apps, and internal tools for a myriad of different industries
- Join global teams from companies like Booking.com and RedVentures and work on products used by millions of users every day
- Create online video classes, write articles and speak at events to share my learnings with others
All of these projects have something in common: they solve complex real-life human problems using design, data, and technology. I love working across the entire product lifecycle, from defining a concept through multiple iterations cycles. I’m constantly looking for insights using research, qualitative data and experimentation methods such as A/B tests to create products that solve both users and business needs.

About me
When I’m not designing or traveling, you will most likely find me partying with a big stash of books, surrounded by games and drinking coffee with lots of sugar.
